Why Do I Need An Inventory Report?

We always stress the importance of ensuring an Inventory Report is arranged before renting out a property, and a check out report is conducted before the release of deposit to avoid any future disputes. It is simply like anything in life, if you rent a car the rental company will go around the car, check its condition and make a report. They will also do the same once the vehicle is returned - Property Inventory works in the same fashion. We always advise against letting agents that have in house inventory clerks and suggest always using a third party, even if it's not us ;), as this strengthens any potential action later on as it removes the question of ethics, conflict of interest and any motive to deceive.

One of our directors holds a Business & Law degree and has some legal experience which enables us to aid clients where necessary.
